Ward Saddened By Decision Not To Grant Refugee Status To Wife, Sons Of Extradited Haitian Official | RJR News

Ambassador Curtis Ward, a former Jamaican Consultant on the United Nations Safety Council, has expressed disappointment with the choice of the Jamaican Authorities to not grant asylum to the spouse and kids of former Haitian Senator Joseph John, who has been linked to final yr’s assassination of the President of Haiti.

 

The Jamaican Ministry of  Nationwide Safety rejected an utility to grant Mr Joseph’s spouse and two sons refugee standing. They’ve since been deported to Haiti.
